Who we are

Arkaan is made by Mukhtar App World (Faisal Mukhtar), Mumbai, India. Questions about privacy: support@mukhtarapp.world.

Your location

Arkaan uses your location only on your device, to work out prayer times and the direction of the Qibla. It is never sent to us or to anyone else, and we never store it. If you prefer, choose a city instead and Arkaan will not use your location at all.

What stays on your device

Your settings, your salah and fasting tracker, your zakat entries, your favourite duas and your place in the Quran are kept on your device only. Deleting Arkaan deletes them. You can save a copy at any time from Settings, Export my data.

Prayer alerts and reminders are scheduled on your device. The camera, used only for the Qibla camera view, shows the picture on screen; nothing is recorded, saved or sent.

Live from the Haramain

The Live from the Haramain section shows the Saudi Broadcasting Authority’s broadcasts from Masjid al-Haram and Masjid an-Nabawi in YouTube’s embedded player. While it plays, YouTube (Google) receives what any web video player receives, such as your IP address. YouTube’s Terms of Service and Google’s Privacy Policy apply.

To know which broadcast is live, Arkaan’s server asks YouTube through the YouTube API Services. It sends nothing about you.

iCloud sync

When iCloud is signed in on your device, a copy of your settings and tracker is kept in your own iCloud account by Apple, so your other devices signed in to the same Apple Account can use it. We cannot see it. Your location is never part of it. You can turn it off in Settings, Your data. Apple’s privacy policy applies to iCloud.

Purchases

Payments are made through Apple. We never see your card or bank details. To confirm Arkaan Pro, we use RevenueCat, which receives a random ID that Arkaan creates on your device, the purchases made with it (product, date, price, store country) and basic technical details such as the app and system version. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy.

Invite links and gifts

When you share your invite link, open a friend’s link, give Arkaan Pro as a gift or ask for one, Arkaan’s small server (hosted on Cloudflare) keeps only what those features need:

• the random ID Arkaan created on your device, and your invite code
• which invite link a new install came from, and how many installs came through yours
• gift codes, how long each gift lasts, whether it was given to someone in need, and when it was given and received
• until when Pro days from invites or gifts were added

It keeps no name, email address, phone number or location, and we do not store IP addresses. Cloudflare handles the requests as our hosting provider; see Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

What we never do

• show ads or use the advertising identifier
• track you across apps or websites
• use analytics tools
• sell or share your information

Children

Arkaan is suitable for all ages and asks no one for personal information.

This website

This website has no accounts, cookies, ads or analytics, and its fonts come from our own server. Your choice of language and appearance is remembered only in your browser. Like any website, our host (Hostinger) keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses, to keep the site running and secure.

Your choices

Deleting Arkaan removes everything on your device. To have invite and gift records removed from Arkaan’s server, email support@mukhtarapp.world with your invite code (on the Share Arkaan screen) and we will delete them within 30 days.

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its date.
